About Hong Kong Restaurant
Hong Kong customers, the new restaurant is back to open located at 6828 N. Waverley Dearborn heights, MI 48127, (( behind RED LOBSTER)),Thank you.
Hong Kong Restaurant is a chinese restaurant in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. It is listed at 6828 N Waverly St, Dearborn Heights, MI 48127, which places it among the local businesses of Dearborn Heights that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Dearborn Heights; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Michigan are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–9:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (313) 274-3005. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, hongkongmi.com.
Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 311 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded chinese restaurants in Dearborn Heights.
Dearborn Heights is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Dearborn Heights follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I just literally left and I knew something was off when I walked in and didn’t smell Chinese food… even when we brought the bag of food in the car… the kids said they smelled French fries… they said the gravy smelled like grease… and I saw another person leave a review like this. The white man up front was nice but that is literally the only nice thing that I can say… PLEASE DO NOT ORDER HERE… the lack of flavor is insane… I LOOKS Delicious but taste like nothing..im mad that I paid for this… I never had food like this from a Chinese food restaurant.… y'all please believe me... Something is not right about this place.. I'm sorry to use these harsh words but this is my honest opinion

I have to honestly believe this place and the people are the best of the best. We have loved them for a lot of years. This is one place that never skimmed off the top when the pandemic hit and prices soared. They changed buildings, but not their values. My family and I could not ask for more. (Pics were taken at home, as Hong Kong is take out only).

I’d like to lead with the person who answered the phone was friendly and helpful, as this was my first time ordering from this restaurant. I called ahead with questions before I placed an Instacart order. However, this meal was impeccably disgusting and underwhelming. The gravy was an odd color, texture and flavor. Completely lacking depth of flavor or salt. The chicken egg foo young taste like grease. No distinct flavors at all, not even salt. And I’m very sensitive to salt. The vegetables in the spring rolls were dark in color and taste as if they were seasoned with cinnamon and cardamom. Which I found odd. Not 5spice, cinnamon and cardamom. The general sous taste like ketchup. No garlic, onion, ginger, or soy flavor was present. Also, the plain white rice was hard that tasted old and stale. Even the vegetable fried rice was dark in color but did not have a distinct taste aside from grease. The best part of the meal was the crab rangoon. This meal was $50 with tip and delivery fees. I understand this is a harsh review. Which, I feel bad even doing this. However, food is far too expensive to be handled with such lack of care. This is simply unacceptable. Restaurant owners, please

My egg rolls were very greasy the crab Rangoon tasted burnt or the oil was old. No napkins no utensils to eat with I'm really sad I had high hips for this place.😔😔😔

Review of Hong Kong Restaurant As a resident just a two-minute stroll away, I was excited to check out the newly opened Hong Kong Restaurant, especially with their appealing lunch special priced at just nine dollars. I had high hopes for a delicious meal, envisioning a delightful experience filled with authentic flavors. However, my visit turned out to have its share of highs and lows, leading to a rather varied impression. To start, I received over 2 pounds of food, which includes the egg roll—a decent portion size for a lunch special. However, I'd prefer to pay slightly more for better-quality meals. Beginning with the egg roll, I found it quite disappointing—unquestionably the worst I've encountered. Unfortunately, it was soggy and mushy, having been left to sit in its box without any separate packaging. The texture was unappealing, and the filling lacked any discernible flavor, making for a rather bland experience. On a brighter note, the fried rice exceeded my expectations; it was delicious and enjoyable. However, I wished there had been more of it, as my portion felt limited in comparison to the generous serving of sesame chicken due to the portion where the rice was set,
